Available at North Shore Commercial Door, EMX’s IRB-MON gate/garage door safety photo beam kit includes everything you need to easily set up, operate, and keep the device safe. The EMX-IRB-MON is a monitored, weatherproof, made-in-America thru-beam infrared photo eye device providing entrapment protection for doors, gates, and other barriers. The universal design of EMX's IRB-MON photo safety beam means it can be used with gate/door operators requiring a frequency (heartbeat) for monitored operation or for those that require relay connections.
The IRB-MON is UL325 compliant and housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure. It offers a long operating range (up to 115 feet), thru-beam detection technology, and selectable frequencies. Users of heartbeat operators can use the heartbeat output from the IRB-MON to make sure connections to the photo are intact, and that the photo eye is working. Monitored output may also be achieved using the relay contacts, cycling power of the transmitter, and verifying the contact closure at the receiver before the actuation of the operator. A set of form C relay connections provide non-monitored output.
