This Genie garage door opener receiver board, model number 25648R, is designed to work on ALL Genie Pro garage door openers with an internal 12 Dip switch receiver with a frequency of 390MHz. This Genie radio internal receiver board replaces the 20285R model. If your device has the 20285R circuit board you can use the new model 25648R board as a replacement. This board is compatible with the Genie garage door opener keychain remote models GPT90-1, GPT90-3 and GT912 as well as the Genie 9 or 12-dip switch compatible GPWK-12 model wireless keypad. ANSWER: The black wire is the antenna. It can go through a hole and hang below the garage door unit or it can go up the outside the unit. Whichever gives you the best reception to open and close the door from your vehicle. by Jerry W a

QUESTION: I have a Genie SD 5050 garage door opener. The door randomly will just start going up and down usually in the middle of the night. It is 20 years old and the motor seems to be fine. This looks like the same CB in your picture and with the stamp on my CB. However my old unit has a Gray large switch and yours is Red.
