The LiftMaster 41A7442 Replacement Motor is specifically built for use with the LiftMaster 8355 Garage Door Opener. The 1/2 horsepower motor, available through North Shore Commercial Door, is made for residential garage door openers. Like the original equipment, the replacement motor is reliable, durable and powerful. The maintenance-free design is belt-driven, providing smooth operation and reduced noise. The replacement motor is completely encased within the body of the garage door opener for safety and improved performance.

A replacement motor is needed when the garage door opener hums, but the garage door does not open or close. The motor will not interfere with features of the garage door opener, including the LiftMaster power door lock. Installation instructions are available for self-repair, or the motor may be replaced at an authorized repair center. The motor may be replaced in the central housing without disrupting, removing or replacing the rest of the garage door opener setup. Replacing the motor may require reconfiguring certain features of the garage door opener.
