8500 Collar Design

The improved 8500 collar design now comes standard with the LiftMaster 8500 opener. This design offers several advantages, including backward compatibility with existing 8500 openers in the field. It streamlines components, standardizes installation, and provides improved travel limit accuracy. The new collar design requires 8.5" of space at the end of the torsion bar, compared to 8" with the previous collar.

Chassis and Packaging Updates

The red chassis of the LiftMaster 8500 will be replaced by a newly designed, all-black chassis. The packaging will also be updated to reflect the new chassis style.
