COMMENT: I wanted an extra garage door remote and this was an easy find and easy to order. Especially since this garage door opener is old 1995. by Sandi z 3/27/2014
QUESTION: my remote pad in my car stop working. Got another on on Ebay, the same 3 button unit but this one doesn't work either. it a craftsman 315 MHZ unit but my old one doesn't say 315 on the case. my Model # on my unit is 139.53637SRT. THE BATTERY READS OUT AT 3.2 VOLTS.Can you help me? by Joe F 5/31/2014
ANSWER: First of all, the batery should read 12 volts+ if it's a new one. Make sure you're reading the right scale on your volt meter.
The new battery should be inserted in the remote, and, then simply push the button, on the back of the garage door opener motor for 2 seconds, and, immediately push the button on the remote for 1 second.
If your remote is a good one, it will work instantly. I programmed my new remote, from NorthShore in "about" 4 to 5 seconds, total time, and, it works beautifully. For $12.00, plus, $6.00 shipping, you can't beat this deal.
REMINDER: Try to keep your remote out of the Sun's direct rays, and, your remote's battery will last a lot longer.
p.s. My garage door opener, is also a 139.53637SRT Craftsman, and, it's been working great, for many years now. Good luck with your remote! Remember to program it the right way! by L Y a
