The Ascent X1 cellular telephone gate/door entry control system by Security Brands Inc. uses cellular telephone technology to call any phone in the world. This Security Brands model from North Shore Commercial Door is becoming the preferred solution when it is impossible to run a wire to a gate location to set up an access control unit. When a visitor pushes the call button, the Ascent X1 with call button and intercom will call any telephone. The home or business owner can then communicate with the visitor at the gate using T-Mobile cellular communications. The user can open, close and latch the gate via any telephone. The Security Brands Ascent X1 cellular intercom device uses summit control technology. The owner downloads an app on his or her smartphone that allows operations of the cellular speaker phone system. A monthly cellular provider fee will be charged. You can also program up to 1,000 four-digit code combinations for pre-authorized users. Activate the 3-Strikes-You're-Out feature, which will disable the unit for about 1 1/2 minutes when three wrong codes are entered within a three-minute time period.
