The EMX Industries VMD202 vehicle motion detector from North Shore Commercial Door will allow you to open factory, residential, parking lot, or office park gates by simply driving your vehicle over or past the probe. This detector is only activated by a large amount of metal, so it cannot be activated by a person or non-metallic object. Bury this compact waterproof motion detector with a 50-foot probe assembly and wire next to a driveway or entrance. Or, install it in a garden, on a post, or on a fence.
With a standby current of just 250uA, it's a versatile choice for a wide range of electric power inputs (from 9 to 41 VDC or 6 to 29 VAC) or solar energy sources. If there's a power failure, this system has a non-volatile memory to retain settings. If no power source is available, a 9V battery will power the probe for up to 6 months. The detector comes with a harness pre-attached to the lead wire for easy installation.
