QUESTION: How do you get the old Batteries out of the rmote? by Patricia L 10/2/2015
STAFF ANSWER: You would take them out like you would take any batteries out. Depending on the remote you made need to use a screw driver to take the cover off of the back of the remote. by Matthew O a
QUESTION: Can u use Duracell or Energizer brand C2016? The Duracell I bought is the same # but is thinner and consequently doesn't sit securely. by Lynne C 10/9/2013
ANSWER: They have to be the exact same size if the number is the same. If both batteries are c2016, they should fit the same. Something may be wrong with the battery that is too thin to fit securely. by J C a
REPLY: Hi J

thank you for taking the time to answer me. I think we may have solved the problem. We bought the wrong battery. We should have bought the CR 2032 which is a thicker battery. But now we need to reprogram it. Can you walk me through that process? I'm doing this for my elderly mom.
thank you by Lynne C r
REPLY: Hi Lynne,
on one side of the garage door opener there is a button, mine is purple. you push that button until it starts blinking, then you have 30 seconds to push the button on your remote. Push the remote button one time and it should be programmed. The light on the door opener should stop blinking when the remote is programmed successfully. That is how mine works, hopefully yours is the same.
Jeff by J C r

STAFF ANSWER: Does your old battery say CR2016 ? If so you need the CR2016 I honestly cannot say for sure about the Duracell C2016 you bought. by Matthew O a
REPLY: I actually neglected to type CR2016 both Duracell and energizer are CR2016 but they are too thin. The one that we had in there was a Duracell CR2016 but because the "design" of the battery apparently changed it no longer stays in and therefore doesn't make a connection. Not sure what to do now. by Lynne C r
