QUESTION: Is this what I need to replace my current base piece, which is disintegrating around the screws holding it up? Is it hard to install, lots of connecting to do? I'm new at this type of thing. by Joyce W 6/23/2014
ANSWER: Yes even though only the plastic base was cracked, you have to buy the entire assembly, unless you can repair the black plastic. It's easy to replace. Just take a pic of the old one or write down were the wire connect. I think I had to "retrain" the remotes when reassembled.<br /><br />Might want to get a replacement lens if it is deteriorating also. by L R a
