ANSWER: Owners manual shows no replacement battery and it looks like the unit is a sealed one. Keep in mind that it only operates the garage door...not the lighting system. Mine works exceptionally well.<br />Larry B by LARRY B a
ANSWER: Yes. It takes 2 batteries that have a special connector. The part number is 41B591 and I see them on sale right now for $41.99 for the pair at another online store. Go on YouTube and search for lift master 475m and it will show you how to replace the batteries. North Shore had a sale on the whole case and had free shipping coupon, so it was cheaper for me to purchase the whole unit instead.
