QUESTION: How can I tell this is the correct length? by None N 4/19/2013
ANSWER: Measure the old one either with a tape or count the teeth...tedious but it works! Most std doors are only 7 feet high. Door opener belt/chain length is determined by the door height. If the door height is 10', you must order a belt/chain to fit that height and you must have the correct model number and any other info you may be able to get off the unit itself. It is all there but sometimes it is obscured by dirt or grease/oil. by Spencer P a
STAFF ANSWER: measure the height of your door. It should be 10 feet high for this belt. You can also call 800-528-9131 for verification of this being the correct belt. Once they verify that place the order through us and we will get it shipped right away! by Matthew O a
QUESTION: How do I check the original to know what the size? by None N 3/7/2013
ANSWER: Measure the belt or chain only. You will get in the ball park and the company will know the right belt for your unit. For more info you can also count the teeth on the belt or the links in the chain. When installing make sure the stops are adjusted properly! If nothing has changed those then a simple installation will be all you need to do. by Spencer P a
