QUESTION: how many do I need for two springs? by Dennis K 7/6/2016
ANSWER: I only needed "one" shaft insert when I installed two springs on a two car garage door. The two springs meet at a central bracket through which the long shaft goes. Therefore, the shaft only needs one insert. The outside cable wheels did not require an insert since they clamp down directly onto the shafts, whereas the shaft must rotate freely at the center bracket only resisted by the force of the spring and the wait of the door. Good luck with your project. I found the products from North Shor of high quality. I used YouTube to help me figure out the best way to do this.
