Frequently Asked Questions
How do you reset an automatic gate?
Find the lowest prices on USAutomatic swing gate and slide gate automatic gate openers at North Shore Commercial Door. To set and reset your USAutomatic gate operator, use our free USAutomatic gate operator installation manuals.
We have downloadable installation and troubleshooting manuals for USAutomatic Patriot and USAutomatic Ranger gate operators. We Also have USAutomatic Patriot gate opener parts and other USAutomatic model gate parts.
Can you open a gate without a remote?
You can open gates with keys, remotes and gate operator wireless keypads. Our USAutomatic wireless keypads are weatherproof, tamper-resistant keypads that can be installed on the outside of your gate. With a keypad, you won't need a remote to control open/close gate operator functions.
How long does a gate motor battery last?
Gate motor battery lifetimes vary. A 12-volt battery that remains fully charged when not in use can last up to six years. USAutomatic Patriot and USAutomatic Ranger gate operators require the use of a 12-volt maintenance-free battery with a 30 amp-hour minimum. Smaller amp-hour batteries can damage the gate operator's charging system.
Batteries on solar-friendly USAutomatic gate operators can be charged using a 120-volt AC-powered transformer or a Patriot Solar Panel Kit.
