Guardian has updated their design for their safety eyes, and they are new and improved! These new Photo Beam Safety Sensors (former Napoleon/ Lynx Part #PL-SW-PHOTO) come with everything assembled, and have a maximum range of 60 feet. In the package the wires, brackets, and sensors are already connected.

The new part number for this product is GUAT-201. The safety eyes are compatible with:

QUESTION: I have a Guardian 628 3/4hp opener 3yrs old door starts to close but the retracts like it has encountered an obstacle none there the left sensor red is nearly steady i.e. almost imperceptible blink, the right side green blinks continually once a second. I have cleaned the sensor lenses, checked alignment and stability and see no defect in wiring. Is this likely a defective sensor problem ? ... STAFF ANSWER: I am sorry but we do not offer just the brackets. The new style safety beams will have different brackets compared to the originals fyi. So if you buy these for the brackets you will have to replace the whole sensor. by Matthew O a
