Product Description

Note: The Chamberlain 940CB has been discontinued. In its place, we are sending out the direct replacement 877MAX from LiftMaster.

Access your garage and home without the use of a key or a remote control with the 940CB Chamberlain Security+ wireless garage door opener keypad. This replacement keypad is compatible with garage door openers that have motor heads with orange learn buttons or motor heads with gray antennas. Instead of relying on a key or remote, you can mount this wireless keypad outside your garage and program a code directly into the keypad. If you don't want to share your keypad code with visitors, service workers and others, this keypad allows the use of a temporary password that can be used without punching in numbers on your Chamberlain wireless keyless entry. Security+ rolling code technology allows a new code to be sent every time the keypad is used to prevent hackers from using your keypad to enter your garage. The backlit keypad makes it easy to see the numbers, even at night. The 9-volt battery that's included with your purchase powers this Chamberlain garage keypad, which has a weatherproof flip-up protective cover.

ANSWER: Well it worked fine with my Chamberlain 940CB so if your Craftsman is same inside you should be good. There for sure was a red button but don't recall if there was or was not a grey wire. In the research I have done on Martin's website, each transmitter is preprogrammed at the factory and that transmitter is used to "teach" new transmitters. <br /><br />I recommend you look at the motorhead and see if it has what is described below.<br /><br />This transmitter requires:<br /><br />•Your garage door opener motorhead has an orange learn button, or <br /><br />•Your garage door opener motorhead has a gray antenna, or <br /><br />•Your original remote control has this logo: need to look online, I wasn't able to copy. by Edward J a

ANSWER: I do not have an answer for you. Bought for someone else. Sorry by Marjorie J a
ANSWER: As long as this garage door opener has a learn button, nothing else is required. Simply depress the learn button on the garage door opener, and then enter your NEW 4 digit code followed by the enter key. then wait a few seconds and try your new code followed by enter. the door should open or close depending on its last state. I also like the red backlighting on this unit, makes it easy to find the right buttons in the dark. by Robert B a
