With the Rickford Company’s new product Garage Door Rodent Guard, you can keep those pests out of your garage and house with out the guilty conscience. This environmentally friendly product is a great way to prevent unwanted creatures from entering your garage. This guard can be installed in less than 10 minutes. There are two guards, each 6 inches tall and made out of a thin, moldable metal. Prior to installing the guards it is suggested that you clean the area where the guard will be placed. The only tool you need is a set of pliers to crimp your seal your guards into place. If you have trouble installing the Garage Door Rodent Guard kit, you can follow the instructions below, or click on the full instruction guide PDF document for the manual. If you still have difficulty installing this product, or have any questions, please feel free to call our support line @800-783-6112.

Kit Includes
  • 2 Metal Seals
  • 2 Pieces of Tape
  • 2 Moist Towelettes

Installation
  1. Press seal closed.
  2. Pat flat before installing guard.
  3. Clean existing weather seal where tape will be applied. 5.5” to 7.5” above concrete or ground level.
  4. Install the Rodent Guard to the lowest point and inward flush (align) to the existing weather seal. Now, crimp closed with fingers. This will hold the guard in place for step 5.
  5. Crimp on top of guard with slip joint pliers.
  6. Install rectangle tape ½ on guard and ½ on seal, from front to back. Make sure the tape lies cleanly against the front edge of seal and guard at molding and fold around cleanly to the back side. Smooth into place.
