ANSWER: Yes, however you must push the gray button on the front of the unit itself to operate your lamp. This might be difficult if the unit is located behind furniture so i recommend putting these on lamps that aren't used often or that you depend on to light a room. You must always leave your lamp in the on position as well. The nice thing about these units is your inside lights turn on when the garage door is opened or closed. by Steven P a

ANSWER: Yes! Just push the button on the front of the unit to turn it on and off. Or if the control is on you can turn it on and off at the light just like any other light but it must be turned off remotely so that it can be turned on again remotely.
