Non-contact systems with Thru Beam technology minimize false reflective signals with an infrared light emitting eye and receiving eye that mount to and travel with the door. A signal is sent to the operator to stop or reverse the direction of the door when the beam of light is blocked by an obstruction. They are easy to assemble and install and work with nearly any size door. Self-monitored circuitry ensures protection even in the event of a power failure or electrical short.
An electrically activated Safety Edge is a touch-sensitive device designed to respond to an obstruction in a motorized door or gate. A Safety Edge sensor is typically installed on the bottom edge of the door, leading edge of the gate or wherever contact could be hazardous to people, vehicles or equipment. The touch/pressure sensitive edge provides entrapment protection by immediately signaling to the motor to stop or reverse them motion of the door when contact is made with an obstruction. Most Sensing Edge products are custom made to your length, width, height and sensitivity specifications. The CPT sensing edge product can be cut to size in the field, allowing for immediate replacement and repair.
