Broadcasts a higher-end-spectrum (740 nm)infra-red beam and halts operation of door if beam is interrupted; if there is an obstruction. With 32 feet operating distance from light transmitter to receiver, this will work for commercial setting but also for very large residential settings where little ones (and their bikes), pets, or the car bumper need to be fully cleared from the operating range of a large door.
