COMMENT: I ordered Toruemaster plus springs with ends as that was what my garage door specified. When it was taken down for the spring replacement, however, the ends were not Plus, but the normal Torquemaster One ends. The label on my garage door lied. Ordering the correct ends to install the springs, as the original ones are plastic and I prefer the new metal ones. by william r 2/13/2016
QUESTION: Mine is plastic and the spline gears have stripped off letting the spring loose. I would not want another plastic one. How can I insure I get the metal one if I order?<br />Also how is this part removed from the spring? I tried backing it out with a set of pipe wrenches and just tore up the plastice piece even more by Robert S 9/15/2014

STAFF ANSWER: The part may be black plastic or silver metal but it is a torquemaster one spring end; the manufacture started making them out of metal but they may have some of the black plastic left in inventory not sure why you would prefer the plastic... please elaborate If you stripped your end you are probably due to replace the who Wayne Dalton Torquemaster Spring.
